Coach Ben has been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2016 and is a four-stripe brown elt with a passion for helping students build confidence, resilience and strong technical foundations. His coaching style is approachable, patient and detail-oriented, with a focus on breaking techniques down into simple, practical concepts that students of all experience levels can understand and apply.

A fan of half guard and butterfly guard, Ben enjoys the technical side of Jiu-Jitsu and draws inspiration from Adam Wardziński’s efficient and methodical style of grappling. While he has enjoyed success competing at local tournaments, his greatest satisfaction comes from seeing students grow in confidence, develop their skills and achieve goals they once thought were out of reach.

Above all, Ben believes Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a lifelong journey that should be enjoyed rather than rushed. He encourages students to focus on learning, supporting their teammates and embracing the process, knowing that consistent training and a positive attitude will naturally lead to progress both on and off the mats.
